We have been working around the clock for the last few weeks getting the newly remodeled market completed, and are ready to provide our community with premium quality, healthy, wholesome seafood! Come on down and get some seafood. You can come in and and purchase your fish at the counter or use our drive through service by calling in your pre-order via telephone to 805-965-9564. Drive through pick up will be at the harbor re...tail market’s backdoor. In addition to our retail market opening we will be offering same day home delivery for any orders of $40 or more within the City of Santa Barbara. Orders under $40 will be subject to a $15 delivery fee. We will be delivering all orders directly to your door by 6pm daily as long as your order is received by 12pm. Orders received after 12pm will be delivered the following day. We will be delivering 7 days a week, Sunday orders will need to be placed before 12pm Saturday. For home deliveries please call in your orders to 805-965-9564. You can also shop online at our website sbfish.com for overnight fedex deliveries. Black Cod, also called Sable Fish, is one of our featured weekly specials, being offered at $12.95 lb! Also known as Butter-fish due to it’s sweet flavor, it is one of the richest foods in existence in omega 3 fatty acids and it’s also rich in many other vitamins and minerals that support a healthy diet! They are harvested by SBFM’s owners’ Dad, John Colgate, 50-70 miles offshore from Santa Barbara Harbor in 4000-6000 ft deep underwater canyons. Each fish is brought up live, bled, put on ice and delivered to the market the same day. Needless to say, the freshness and quality of this local harvest is as good as it gets!

Santa Barbara’s very own local Ridgeback Prawns live a kicking! Harvested by SB second generation legendary fisherman Jeff Hepp on the Gloria Marie they just hit the docks! And he’s headed back out tomorrow too. We will be sure to be well stocked throughout this Mother’s Day weekend with these tasty treats. They and are a one of a kind delicious treat sweeter than any prawn or shrimp you have ever tasted. Just steam em up for a few minutes and you have a peal and eat prawn party on your hands. Or treat them as you would any other shrimp or prawn and they will be truly amazing. Most commonly called Ridgeback Shrimp they are truly a prawn because they carry their eggs inside their shells on the topside of their tails. Wear as shrimp carry their eggs outside their shells under their tails. I know what I’m having for dinner!!

Yellowtail fever in full effect! Pacific Yellowtail is on Special this week $9.95 lb and it is flying out the door! These fish are harvested year round but run in our local waters most commonly when the water warms up in the summer and fall. Come on down to the beautiful SB Harbor we have lots of other great seafood in stock too!

Ahi Tuna are a pelagic fish caught in the open oceans throughout the world. We are fortunate enough to have a handful of experienced fisherman harvesting Ahi from waters offshore from California bringing in this fish on a regular basis. It is known for its bright red meat and delicious flavors, weather you are eating it raw as sashimi, searing it, or fully cooking it and making a fresh Ahi tuna salad.
