Its a big day at the Santa Ana Lawn Bowling Club today. It's our annual Stirrat Memorial Triples Tournament, where the best bowlers from all over So Cal come to compete against each other. If you want to see some of the best bowlers in action, including some of the people that bowl for the US National Team, come on down to the club and watch a while. Bowling starts at 8.45am and will go on until late afternoon. #seeyouonthegreen

It was the SoCal Rinks tournament this weekend in Long Beach and some Santa Ana club members played extremely well. The team that included Robert Alessi and Paul Gresbrink made it all the way to the Championship semi final where they were narrowly beaten but gave an extremely good account of themselves. The team that included Rick Gregory and Andy Vevers limped its way to the consolation Final, but unfortunately couldn't squeak out another win. A great effort by everyone involved and if the high standards of play continue, we have a hunch that some silverware may find it's way back to Santa Ana Lawn Bowling Club at some point this season. #seeyouonthegreen

We have open bowling on Saturday starting at 9am. Come a little early to sign up. Never tried it before? No problem. We provide all the equipment, instruction, patience and friendliness you'll need. So come on down and give it a go. #seeyouonthegreen
