Hello Bruin Community, Here are this week’s SCHS updates. DIVERSITY WEEK & RALLY - One of the greatest strengths of this school is our diversity. It makes me so proud that our students understand that learning about and celebrating each other’s cultures, countries of origin, religions, interests, and personal stories makes us all better people. This week has been our Diversity Week, and students led online events each day. This afternoon at 2:30, our Leadership students en...ded the week by releasing a virtual Diversity Rally on our Youtube channel. The Diversity rally includes performances by the Black Student Union, Desi Student Association, Pacific Islander Club, Chinese Student Association, Spirit Squad, Dance team, and more. PTSA PRESENTS: MEET & GREET W/ SCHS PRINCIPAL - We are always looking for ways to increase communication with our families and involve our families in the school. To help with this, PTSA will be sponsoring an informal event in which I can share a few things about myself, the school, and current events as well as answer questions that you may have. If you would like to attend, this Meet & Greet event will happen via Zoom on Wednesday, October 28, at 6:00 pm, and is expected to 45-60 minutes. SECOND HARVEST FUNDRAISER - The students at SCHS hold an annual food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank prior to Thanksgiving. While we cannot accept actual food donations this year, we are still holding a fundraiser event from October 26 through November 6. Thank you for your generosity, especially this year.
