In late September, the dental world lost a legend. Dr. Arthur Dugoni touched many lives with his remarkable energy and passion for education. Dozens of our dental society members were fortunate to have known him as students at UoP and benefited from his skills and wisdom. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. Memorial gifts may be made to The Art Dugoni Scholar Fund. https://securelb.imodules.com/s/749/givingform.aspx

The CDC’s Clinician Outreach and Communication Activity call will be on Wednesday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. EST. CDC has updated the Interim Infection Prevention and Control Guidance for Dental settings to include recommendations for resuming non-emergency dental care during the COVID-19 pandemic. CDC will host a Clinician Outreach and Communication Activity (COCA) call to discuss how the updated guidance addresses the unique characteristics of dental settings that warrant specifi...c infection control considerations and presenters will provide an overview of the updated guidance for dental settings before conducting a Q&A session. This is CDC’s first-ever COCA call targeted specifically at the dental field. Please share this announcement widely to your networks, as this is a unique opportunity for dental health care personnel to hear directly from CDC subject matter experts. CE will not be offered for this COCA call. If you are unable to attend the live call, the recording will be available for viewing on the webpage a few hours after the live event ends and immediately available for viewing on COCA’s Facebook page after the live event ends at 3:00 p.m. EST. Advanced registration is not required. Due to the high demand anticipated for this COCA call, participants are encouraged to consider viewing it on Facebook Live. https://www.facebook.com/CDCClinicianOutreachAndCommunicationActivity/?deliveryName=FCP_3_USCDC_1052%20DM22033 To join the meeting via Zoom, click here.
