Just the Vax Ma’am! San Pedro High School, via the Olguin campus, is proud to announce its selection as one of the first sites in LAUSD to offer students the COVID vaccination on-site. To kick off this news, Superintendent Austin Beutner will be visiting the Olguin Campus at 1:00pm, on Monday, May 24.... While all social distancing and health protocols will be followed, there will be food, music, and Superintendent Beutner will be making remarks to students and the community as an element of his news conference. SPHS students are encouraged to visit the DailyPass website (dailypass.lausd.net) to register and make an appointment to be vaccinated on Monday as part of the kickoff (see flyer below). #piratepride #sanpedrocommunityofschools

We are so proud to announce that this year’s honorees at the annual Pride Flag raising at Welcome Park will be SPHS Pride Club senior and president Anthony Mandac and Pride Club senior and poet/activist Jalen Delgado. Let’s turn out in large numbers to support these two wonderful young Pirates as they raise awareness and pride in our community. Let’s add a little extra Pirate to Pride this year. We love our teachers at SPHS and would like to thank them for all the hard work they have done over the past year in bringing SPHS into your homes so we could all remain safe. And a big extra thanks to those teachers who are now back in the the classroom working both on zoom and in person. The lockdown showed us all how difficult a teachers job can be.
