** Update -- November 6, 2018** The OSH sign is gone! No one seems to know where it is.... We have reached out to the City of San Jose, History San Jose, Google, and Hilco (the company that is handling the liquidation of OSH's assets). Hilco doesn't know where it is and is looking into it. Google wants to preserve the sign but they don't own it. The City is also asking about the sign's whereabouts. Sal Pizarro is writing a column about the missing sign and NBC Bay Area has checked-in with us as well. Stay tuned as the mystery deepens. ______________________________________________________________________ With the announcement of the closing of all Orchard Supply Hardware stores, we are even more concerned about the future of their iconic sign on San Carlos Street. The sign was featured last year in the San Jose Signs Project Guide. We continue to work with History San Jose, the San Jose Signs Project, and the City, to save this sign. We are also aware that an online petition has been started to save the sign. You can lend your voice of support by liking and sharing this post. Thanks!
