Thanks so much to our Listos California partners at Jewish Family & Children’s Services @jfcsorg JFCS is one of the three partners SF CARD is funding to equip seniors with disaster preparedness information as part of the Listos California program. This year, JFCS has reached over 300 seniors - including Holocaust survivors - and families throughout the city with critical disaster preparedness and COVID preparedness messaging. JFCS believes all people deserve dignity, honor, and respect in their community. These folks at their Western Addition facility are providing groceries for over 70 seniors and families in the neighborhood.

Check out Katy Birnbaum, Associate Director for Livable City in the SOMA! Livable City received a $100,000+ grant from SF CARD to partner with @NICOSCHC and @cyc_sf to reach over 9,000 Chinatown residents with emergency preparedness information in a variety of languages. Darin Ow-Wing, Livable City’s Communications Director, sums up the importance of the Listos California partnership with SF CARD as follows: The real importance of this Chinatown ‘Open Streets’ event is the ...unity, the working together, the compromise, the sharing of ideas, the bringing together of different merchants, stakeholders and organizations to make this happen. That coming together and working with each other is going to be the foundation of Chinatown’s survival and Chinatown being able to thrive in the future. In this short video Katy explains how Listos California has helped her organization reach over 9,000 residents in San Francisco’s Chinatown district with local emergency preparedness and updated COVID-19 information.
