My favorite memory of SEDMA’s Nutcracker is from last year, when I was Clara. I loved every second of it, from practices to dress rehearsal and the performance! I also loved when the younger kids would whisper she’s Clara! or say hi Clara! It was so cute and it was cool being someone they look up to.... When I was on stage performing, it was the most amazing feeling! It was so special, but it went by so fast, I couldn’t believe it! I’m very grateful for that wonderful opportunity and being able to perform with a cast as amazing as it was last year. It's so wonderful to see our alums continuing to express themselves with dance. Here's Claire, class of 2017 who is a freshman at University of Southern Califor...nia and will be performing with the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. She was recently accepted to the USC Kaufman and plans to major in neuroscience and either double major in dance or maybe minor in dance.
