"Nona Beamer: A Legacy of Aloha" is a portrait in film painted with the words of some of the people profoundly effected by this remarkable Hawaiian woman. She was a musician, hula dancer, composer, teacher, at a time when Hawaiian culture was still being suppressed in Hawaii. She was a major force behind the Cultural Renaissance of the 1970's that helped restore dignity and pride to Hawaiian children.

We could not think of ending the year without acknowledging and recognizing Alvin and Dee Goya of the Ho'oilina Foundation. Here in Southern California they, with partners Puni Patrick and Patrick Nizo, present the Santa Fe Springs Heritage of Aloha festival each summer. 2020 has not been kind to out door festivals. "Heritage of Aloha" was not held per county restrictions. The Ho'oilina Foundation has quietly supported organizations in our community in spite of this.... Alvin, Dee and the Ho'oilina Foundation partnered with the Sandwich Islands Social Network in September in producing "Holoholo Ka'a - A Drive In Live Music Concert" in Carson. The Sandwich Islands Social Network extends a humble mahalo and much gratitude to Dee, Alvin and the Ho'oilina Foundation for their tireless efforts to support our community. Love you guys.
