The bow. Those eyes. So sweet!

Hmmmm. What silly face should I make next? Big decisions. I know that many parents are simply looking for a traditional portrait, but these expressions are my favorite. #socute #letmethinkaboutthat

Yellow has been super on trend this year! I love how it pops against the black backdrop, too. This little one was lucky in that she knew my amazing assistant, so they chatted it up and it put her at ease. Small worlds can help in this case!

Preschools are so varied in what ages they accept and therefore what ages I will get to capture. This little one was ready because her teachers and mama practiced with her- something I highly encourage!

This little guy isn’t walking yet, but he sits like a champ. Just in case, his amazing teacher is sitting right next to him to keep him safe. That Mohawk is melting my !

Is it just me or is he smoldering just a bit, sort of like Flynn Rider? This cutie is a bit on the serious side, but he is SO handsome! I am curious to know if he is as stoic and quiet as he was for us. Regardless, he was so nice to work with!

Little sister was not into photos so much, and that’s ok. Mom will get *one* smile in her gallery, but this image more represents how she was *really* feeling that day. I do tell parents to manage expectations with their kids- embrace where they are and look back and laugh. Thankfully this one’s mom is totally in agreement, and I can’t wait to see her next year- I bet she will be totally different! Swipe to see that big brother was all smiles!

This one is becoming a school portrait veteran- she knew it would be fun and was smiling before she even sat down!

Ok. This little guy was just the sweetest. A little timid at first until he realized we are just a bunch of goofballs.

How do we get smiles, laughs and more? Just a little extra time, some patience and a whole lot of fun. This smile is 100% a product of my amazing assistant @_lisaconrad_ who has been my sidekick the last few days. She has been indispensable! Thank you, Lisa!
