Congrats to Colene and Gary! A quick castle to spiff up a cute wedding.

Holding her, feeling her warmth, the hotness of her breath, she whispered in his ear how she loved him. The droplets began to fall, a rare San Diego rain, as their lips touched. There in the heat, as the water wet his skin, there was depth, there was passion, the caress of lovers, hearts at peace but also on fire, pulling, kissing, squeezing, caressing, "the time has come" she said, and starting from her feet on the ground the wind began to blow her away, her legs, her torso, her arms, her face, slowly erased as grains of sand cast aside by the winds, and he felt that just as quickly as she came she was gone. With nothing but rain and tears and night left on his face, she was gone, she was gone.

I cleaned so much sand out of my car it seemed like I could build a castle, so I did. It's all car sand.

A dating experience that singles will understand: We said our thanks and goodbyes, and deleted our match. I'm suffering that "next" feeling. It's so unique... a poignant mix of crushed hope, disappointment, doubt, sadness, frustration, loneliness, and a deep, deep longing... I wanted this piece to feel like that, though it will pass, as it always does. Until then, here's "A Forlorn Faith". JT
