Nov. 29, 2017 - Tonight we reached out to the victims and survivors of the 1906 San Fransisco earthquake. We fed the portal moving pictures of life in San Francisco before and after the devastating quake. Our Portal Sphere, adorned with numerous Christmas bells and a wind-chime, hung at the back of the room while our friend Petra explored from within with a Mel Meter and a laser light. We also had BooBuddy monitor temperature changes and ask a myriad of EVP questions. There w...as only a slight five degree temperature change. Not a single bell chimed the entire night. We asked for a spiritual sign in the form of a small tremor from the Rose Canyon fault which runs under Old Town. We added this into our Portal ruleset: A sign could manifest as an earthquake registered in Old Town on a Wednesday night during the hours of 6 pm - 9 pm PST. Note: On Wed. Dec. 6th there were a series of small earthquakes felt in Julian and other parts of the county. There was a 3.8 recorded just before 8 pm. The timing fits but these were not felt in Old Town. Although the night was plagued by outside noise contamination, we were getting many localized anomalous sounds that on further review were indeed spirit voices. One of the more amazing captures was when BooBuddy asked the spirits, How old are you? then a woman responds, Thirty-two, Thirty-two. In another clip I inadvertently team up with BooBuddy and ask Yankee Jim for a boot stomp just as BooBuddy asks, What’s your favorite toy? to which a voice responds, Checkers. A rather ominous sounding spirit referred to what I was doing as, Your demon’s work! Happy Birthday Cindy! It is hard to believe my little sister would have turned 45 today. I often wonder what role you’ve taken on the other side. I’d guess mathematician but something tells me that once you are one with the universe there is little reason to count the infinite. I know that on 9/11, you and the nearly 3,000 other victims did not expect to die that day or seek out some greater purpose, but surely you’ve glimpsed or merged with that one thing Ellie so desperately sought. Nov. 15, 2017 - Is one’s sensitivity to the spirit world a measurable condition? Might those of us with this special awareness also have elevated ESP ability? Are all psychics more in tune with the spiritual world and more likely to see a ghost? Tonight we began a series of tests to find out. Unlike Ghost Busters Peter Venkman’s shocking negative reinforcement ESP test, our subjects suffered no ill effects from a wrong answer, other than a cringe of defeat to their psychic di...gnity. Before our test we asked each participant if they consider themselves to be sensitive, how many paranormal experiences they have had and how many ghosts they have witnessed. At the end of the experiment we will revisit these questions. Each participant was asked to blindly guess the card symbol for all 25 cards of a deck made up of 5 different symbols of 5 cards each. From week to week we will post the overall score results (see end of post). You must take the test a minimum of four times to be entered into our prize contest (to be announced at a later date). Scores are cumulative and the top three winners will be determined by the percentage of the number of correct answers from the total cards shown. Turn table turn! What a valiant effort you all made! Hands down (pun intended) the most patient ghost hunters on the planet. We did capture a couple of knocks during that session but unfortunately our table didn’t come alive. Skeptics like to claim it is the ideomotor response, or subconscious muscle movement, that will move a table under these conditions. How do they explain the lack of movement then?
