Good Afternoon! Hope everyone is doing well and can attend our Cert Meeting on Oct 15, 2020. We will be practicing safe distancing and wearing our masks. We will be handing out Cert shirts to all that have qualified for them. We are also working on getting zoom up and running for the members who can not attend. Our first meeting back after being away due to the Covid 19 virus. It was great to see everyone again. We were presented with a cool poster made by Susan Fitz's Granddaughters thanking us volunteers for all we do. We also had 3 new guests show up tonight interested in joining our team. Come join us at our next meeting next month.

Our next Cert meeting will be held June 18, 2020 at 530-600pm which is our Meet and Greet and 6pm to 7 is our Training class at the PD in the training room. Hope everyone can attend.... Please see the attach E mail from Sgt Echevarria Good Afternoon, Effective Monday, we are able to resume our regular meetings, trainings, and functions. We are currently ironing out the social distancing protocols and such, but our station will again be open to the public starting on Monday. If there are members of our volunteer services who are not yet comfortable returning to our station, we can try to accommodate them with zoom type meetings for the time being. Can everyone please reach out to the general chapter and invite them to our return meeting here at the police station on Thursday, 06/18/20 at 6pm. If anyone has anything they will to train or discuss that evening, we need to brainstorm right now so we are prepared. I have fielded several calls from our CERT members, so we will start off with our chapter meeting and on 07/06/20 we can get back to business with our admin meeting. All CERT Meetings and Training Classes Cancelled until further notice! I thought I would share this notice with you from Sgt Echevarria, Community Affairs, San Bernardino PD. Good Afternoon,... In light of the COVID-19 concern, we have postponed all community meetings and community events. This applies to Reserves, Volunteers, Chaplains, Explorers, PAL and CERT. Coffee with Cop, DRO pop up, community meetings and business meetings have also been postponed / canceled. We are also declining ride along requests. We do ask that all Cert Team Members remain prepared in case of an emergency call-out situation, but we are canceling all meetings, trainings, and events until further notice.

Cert has been busy the month of Feb with us being sworn in by Acting Police Chief McBride as Disaster Service Workers Feb 20, 2020, Emergency training and giving a CERT presentation to the Muscupiabe Neighborhood Association.

On Dec 13, 2019, a few of our CERT Team Members organized and did a inventory of our 5 CERT mobile trailers that will be able to respond for any emergency.
