Hey everyone our 2021 Gymkhana is here. The next one is June 27th sign ups at 9:00 ride at 10:00. It is a entire day full of family fun! Here are the 12 shows with the events. You have to ride 10 of the 12. We rescheduled the July 3rd Gymkhana to a different weekend. Come out and enjoy your day with us

Who is missing their boots?

Arena today will start getting worked at about 4:00 so the SJVR arena will be closed until after the Gymkhna a and Barrel race this weekend. Thankyou guys here’s to the start of a year full of busy horse weekends

Activities at the arena are back. Gymkhanas, barrel racing and play days are all on the Calendar for 2021. You can access our calendar on our website www.sjvr.info. Juniors are an important part of our club helping out at events and having opportunities to raise money for their activities. Setting barrels, recycling plastic bottles and aluminum cans and serving at dinners are a few examples of their chances to earn money. Juniors set barrels at the barrel races and earn tips ...from the barrel racers. Collecting the recycling and turning it in provides some good cash. Tips at dinners are another way to build up their account. The juniors do a fun activity and this helps pay for them. Some of the past activities the juniors have enjoyed are river rafting, water slides, gun safety classes, I Fly trip and various workshops involving the horses. Our junior program is growing and we have many new kids getting involved. Juniors have their own facebook page Junior Valley Rangers which is updated by the junior advisor, Trina Homer. She can also be reached at 510 910-6712. Animal Rescue of Lathrop has requested our Juniors to serve at a fundraiser dinner on June 12 at AT Ranch in Lathrop. The juniors will help serve dinner and earn tips for their services. They are expecting a large turn out and they will need lots of juniors. Dress code is blue jeans and white shirts. Money earned will be put in the junior account for the cost of their activities coming up. Please contact Trina or respond to this email if your junior is able to help out. We are hoping to see more juniors out at the clubhouse/arena this spring riding in our gymkhanas, barrel races and enjoying the play days. Wonderful evening celebrating our gymkhana riders and installation of the new club officers and board Of directors. We had the pleasure of enjoying some of our clubs lifetime members, thank you Della for arranging to get the non drivers tonight. Juniors enjoyed a gift exchange and the adults had a fun white elephant ornament exchange.
