One week to go until the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. Watch TV coverage starting Wednesday, June 1st on ESPN3 for the preliminaries. Live coverage for Semi-finals and Finals will begin on June 2nd at 10am (EST) on ESPN.

Our 2011 Spelling Bee Champion is Varsha Senthil, a 5th grader from the Challenger School, Harwood. Her winning word was "mellisonant" which means pleasing to the ear.
