Dear Ruby, The moment you arrived at SDGGD, I knew you were gonna special. That's why I chose your name. I knew that good things were going to come You blew us away with how smart you were. You are open to learning so much quickly and it definetly shows with how fast you pick up on training Your resource guarding was a first for me. I have trained resource guarding before but never with a dog as big as you. Thank you for making me a better trainer and allowing me to help ...you on your journey. Tomorrow you go home to your new parents! Even though I'm a little sad I won't be coming home to your goofy face looking at us upside down in your crate, I know that you will be soooo happy in your new home! Meet Ruby!!! Ruby is a 10 month old Golden retriever mix. She was owner surrendered to me a few weeks ago. Her family had to move from a house to an apartment and couldn't keep her. Since bringing Ruby in we have learned alot about her. We ran a full temperament test on her and she did really well. -Dog test - Passed: Plays very fair taking turns of chasing and being chased -Small Dog Test: Was calm did not mind ... -Cats- Shows prey drive: Would do best in a no cat home -Food: Mild resource guarding. Rehabbed: NEEDS TO CONTINUE TRAINING. -Toys: Does well but definetly only supervised as she is a heavy chewer -Men: Does well -Women: Does well -Children: Is going to be a large dog so 12 or older. -Crate trained -Potty Trained -Vaccinated If you think Ruby would be a good addition to your family feel free to send me a message! The votes are in...and you guys all voted on her name change... Everyone meet miss Ruby! Miss Ruby is our new foster dog! She was an owner surrender. My original plan due to how well she did during her temperament test, was to service dog prospect test her...but sadly little miss has some food resource guarding. So plan will be to get that under control and adopt her out to an active pet home. This golden/rottie is super smart and has alot of potential so I'm excited to see what the future holds for her!

When I first started dog training I knew I wanted to help people. I wanted to go through the good, the bad, and the ugly by their sides. I know I'm young and I've got a lot to learn but as I grow as a dog trainer, my love for dogs and their people grow too! Meet Truly! Truly is an owner surrender from an amazing mother who wanted to do what was best for her. She is a Golden Retriever Rottweiler mix! So far we have seen some crazy good potential in her and have decided to do ...a service dog prospect test on her to begin with. If she passes this she will begin training and be placed as a service dog. If she does not, we will put training foundations on her and place her in a few months with an active sport/pet home.
