Trying new things in 2019!! This is the first time I've attempted horizontal stripping that wasn't the traditional "2in' coon stripes". We found some cloudy dusk photos for color inspiration, I worked in some of her own natural color, interchanged the color pattern, and size of the stripes. It was so much fun! And more challenging than I expected! Can't wait to do it again, and next time, micro lines! Just like if you're going to enjoy those white blondes, slivers and rainbows its necessary to take care of them. Honestly I actually prefer my clients buy the proper at home care products BEFORE we get you to those desired colors. For 3 reasons: 1) It helps prep the hair for lighting sessions! 2) Those sessions will be expensive, if you get them before it will help spread out the ...cost. I see clients skip the products at the end of the service and come back for that retouch dry and brassy because they never 'came back' to pick up the right stuff and just settled for something at @Target. It doesn't have to be this way! 3) It'll also give the client a better understanding of what the new care routine will be like before taking the big leap. Stripping the hair of its natural color opens the cuticle layer for new pigment but also loses some of its ability to hold moisture. That dryness contributes to breakage, frizzyness, and makes it harder to lift hair to those colors with minimal damage. Theres lots of products out there containing silicone, plastics, and too much protein or keratin, and it can be confusing. I don't care if you get the right stuff from me or @Utla, just have the arsenal ready to take care of those beautiful blonde, silver and rainbow hair goals. You'll thank me later.
