A bonus - buses go right from the Bay Bridge to the transit center in downtown San Francisco via our Cable-Stayed Bridge. The awning that surrounds the transit center is 3,000 ft long and 44 ft high, made up of 41 repeating segments that are assembled from 5' by 5' perforated panels-over 4,000 in all. It is based on the work of Sir Roger Penrose. We are forever grateful for this gift of design.
