You’ve probably heard it 1,000 times before, exercise is good for you. Whether you’re a seasoned gym goer or someone just getting started on your fitness journey, here are 5 ways to improve your production while training: 1 - . Even though you may find that you love running and nothing else, you still need to ensure that you include some form of resistance training into your exercise program. This should i...nclude free weights, resistance machines, dumbbells, kettlebells, or some combination of these. Be sure to add enough stretching, flexibility, mobility, balance, and posture exercises. 2 . Many people will shortchange their workouts by doing what they like first and then following up with what they like least (myself included ). More times than not, those least favorite exercises never get done. So save your dessert until you’re finished with dinner. 3 ’ ’ . If you are hungry because you haven’t eaten, you run the risk of performing at less than your maximum ability, or worse, even passing out . If you’re feeling hungry the chances of you overeating following your workout are much higher. 4 ’ . Bring yourself gradually up through your desired fitness level, being sure to keep in mind realistic goals for someone your age, height, weight, health, and overall physical abilities. Compete with yourself and not the other people at the gym. Do what you are able to do best and gradually build from there. 5 . Some of the most successful weight control programs involve taking stock of caloric intake vs. outtake and recording the results on a daily basis. My go-to is ‘My Fitness Pal’. Keeping a food log, and track of your Sets/Reps/Weight in the gym will only help guide you toward your goal. See more
