You’ll come away with a better understanding of: The Arab World and Islam Diversity and stereotypes History and U.S. Relations Women in Islam Music and culture of the Arab Middle East In addition, you’ll receive Information on teaching resources and strategies Guidelines on meeting California and common core standards One LAUSD salary point after homework assignments are completed. (Meets multicultural requirement.) This two-day workshop will be led by LAUSD experienced educators Richard Jessel and Rosa Melendez, along with other subject matter experts on Islam and the Arab World.
