Congratulations Paula! What an honor! SMA 10th grade student, Paula (first chair), led her Los Angeles orchestra group to play for 2 nights for visitors of the White House. The theme of this year’s Christmas celebration, America the Beautiful, is a tribute to the majesty of our great Nation. While in the Washington D.C. area Paula and her sister, SMA senior Georgina, traveled to some of our nation’s most beautiful landmarks such as Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, James Monr...oe’s Highland, James Madison’s Montpelier and other historically important D.C. monuments. Both students have acquired a strong foundation in American history at SMA, and an appreciation for our countries traditions and values. On this #GivingTuesday, please support St. Monica Academy in our mission to form students in Faith-Reason-Virtue. In these uncertain times, our authentic classical education and faithful Catholic formation provide the ultimate certainty: the ability to seek truth, and the desire to know, love, and serve God. In the words of one of the graduates of the Class of 2020,... If you look up a president or a famous person, it’s easy to find where they went to college. Where someone went to elementary and high school stops mattering once they go to college. But I think the most formative part of my education has probably already happened. In college and probably for the rest of my life, my decisions will be largely influenced by my time at St. Monica Academy. #sma #stmonicaacademy #givingtuesday2020
