our new garden blog is located at: http://stfemocgarden.blogspot.com but the class that teaches me how to run this still has one more session. I am excited that we are so modern and so proud that we are still so "old school"

Dear St. Francis, Rev. McCaughan's email account has been hacked into. That means that everyone on her email list will receive an email saying that she was mugged and instructs you how to send her money. PLEASE know that this is a scam and that Rev. McCaughan had nothing to do with this. Doug

On Saturday, March 17 we enjoyed a heavenly 'Soul Break' with N2K--Fr. Norm Freeman and Katherine Cash, 2 amazing musicians who wowed us with heavenly notes. There was healing prayer, beautiful sounds and the Holy Spirit!

Just finished our weekly Lent Bible Study. Rev. Blanco did a thoughtful and loving job helping us to reflect on the upcoming Sunday Word. This time was in Lectio Devina style that worked out well. Special thanks to Rev. Yamamoto

Urgent prayer request from our faithful Brother Joseph of the Order of the Holy Cross Monastery: for a young man named Alex. He is in desperate need of deliverance from the demons of addiction.

"You give alms from your necessity, not from your surplus. You give alms from what you need most. So when you’re tired and grouchy and someone needs a kind word and you dig deep and provide one, that’s almsgiving. When you’re exhausted and someone ask you to do something and you don’t want to get up and do it and you do anyway, that’s alms. If you can’t give a lot of money, give what you can, but give a kind word with it. Everyone needs kindness. Almsgiving can be healing. I have seen people use almsgiving to turn their temptations into virtues. For example, one man who used to smoke marijuana before converting makes sure to give at least $10 to the Church no matter how broke he is, because I was always able to scare up that much every week for pot. ~Anonymous monk (repost from Brother Joseph)
