https://www.pubclub.com//fun-things-to-do-in-san-diego-sa/ Check out what it’s like to come out sailing with us! Hope to see you out on the bay soon.
Although Stars & Stripes is out of service at this time, we are still open for charters. IL Moro di Venezia can accommodate up to 12 guests. She is built under the same formula as Stars & Stripes, hence she is the same size, and equally as much fun! We look forward to taking you out for a sail! We are so grateful and moved by the tremendous show of support from our boating community when the mishap occurred last week. And we thank the amazing efforts of those who rushed in to... help. A special thanks to Chad Reed and Kevin who quickly pulled up alongside and loaded all 12 of our guests aboard their fishing boat within 5 minutes of the incident! And a huge thanks to Wally Eaton, Charlie & Marnie Jenkins, Kris Zillmann, and Robin. Under Wally’s expertise and guidance the mast was carefully winched back aboard Stars & Stripes. Wally’s clear minded thinking during a stressful time is greatly appreciated. We would be remiss not to mention Stephen Driscoll. Driscoll’s Boat Yard allowed us to arrive after hours and rearranged their schedule to accommodate us. Thank you so much! And a final thank you to Mark Strube & Mark Butler. Mark Strube made himself available to look at the mast and rig with the Marine Loss Adjuster who did an inspection today. Mark’s wealth of knowledge and experience is greatly appreciated. And Mark Butler oversaw and performed the complicated task of getting the rig off the boat.
San Diego's America's Cup Yacht IL Moro raced in 1992. Seventy-seven feet long, 11 stories high breezing along at 11 to 12 knots last June, San Diego Bay!
Great to hear that 10 years later our passengers still have fond memories of sailing with us!
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and safe Independence Day!
So Glad to be back on the water! Sailing an authentic America's Cup Race boat on San Diego Bay. sailusa11.com Join us for outdoor activity sailing San Diego
