Sahaita needs all Helping Hands on deck to achieve our goal of $100,000 by the end of the year. This year is already going down in history as a series of unfortunate events, let's close out 2020 with enough optimism to carry future generations with revitalizing strength. Though many aspects of life may be on pause, Sahaita's daily operations are not. Every moment is fueled by your support and we need to keep our children learning, patients cared for, disabled accommodated for, orphans nurtured, surgeries & clinics operated... the list goes on! We can't do it without you and are relying on your helping hands to keep their hope alive.

Virtual Mehfil Night artist spotlight - AMREEN GILL aka BHANGRALICIOUS Amreen Gill is a Vancouver-based dancer and choreographer specializing in Giddha, Bhangra, and Bollywood Fusion dance. With 10 years of training in Amritsar, Punjab, Amreen has become a go-to for step-by-step tutorials. Amreen offers free videos and paid instruction, beginner and intermediate level, on her website along with workshops, wedding choreography, and private/online sessions. Thank you, @bhangralicious, for donating your craft to our cause and keeping Punjabi virsa alive! So many of the kids Sahaita supports love to sing and dance, too. This is for them!

Virtual Mehfil Night artist spotlight - RAJA KANDOLA You've seen him before at our Lohri event with his boliyan that spark a comforting nostalgia. You might remember him from Playground Studios, a musical/poetic collective of California youth with roots deep in Punjab. Get ready to see him again at our Virtual Mehfil Night on November 22nd! Raja Kandola has a truly angelic voice that will tug the strings of your heart! He has sung for live Bhangra teams and is now embarking on his own musical journey. Thank you for gracing our virtual stage with your voice, and helping Sahaita raise funds for our health & education projects.

Bay Area freelance photographer Amrinder Singh, a long-time supporter of Sahaita, has generously donated 30 prints of his stunning work. With a keen eye for det...ail, color, and natural light, he creates imagery with true sense of place across different genres with travel, landscape, pets and families being his favorite. We are grateful to share these with you in the form of a silent auction, including a metal print of "Firefall" - recipient of the 2019 Tom Cain Photo Contest. Secondly, Amrinder will be providing 5 private 1-hour photo sessions with a final 10 digital photos to take home (must be within 20 miles of Union City, CA) Lastly, Sahaita has put together a mystery gift box! Sahaita Toronto team has been taking initiative to clean up the local parks and in and around Gurdwara Sahib parking lots. Picking up masks and other litter to beautify the environments for all to enjoy. What is Sahaita's silent auction all about? COVID has inspired us to get creative with fundraising. Yes - all of our projects are still running! Sure, students aren't physically heading to school, but they still need resources to make distanced learning successful. Sure, many of the kids are at home to help their families. But what about the orphans at Bal Ghar & Anand Ghar? Sure, farmers and their families are in the streets fighting for their livelihoods, but this is still... amidst a pandemic where the healthcare system will easily be overwhelmed. Our health camps will need your support to ensure safety precautions when people need us most. There are so many reasons to support Sahaita, now more than ever.
