COVID affects on 2021 Swimming?! Suppliers are already telling us to prepare for shortages and price increases of 50-100% on chlorine tabs, chlorine shock and many other swimming pool water sanitizers. A big portion of these chemicals are produced in China and shipped to the US. With shipping restrictions, demand, and some US plants being shutdown (the largest in the US burned down), now might be the time to look at alternate water sanitizing routes. Thank you all letting us keep your pool clean and fun for the family in 2020! We'll be servicing pools all week, including New Year's Eve and Day. We took last week off for Christmas. During the next couple weeks we'll be going through sweeps to make sure they're ready for spring. We'll also be replacing o rings on pump lids and unions as preventive maintenance. Cold weather is here. We recommend running your pump early morning hours and/or ensure you pool system has freeze protection on. This video is an unfortunate reason why. Thanksgiving week we’ll be closed and not servicing pools on Wednesday Thursday and Friday. We appreciate the work and time off to spend with our families.

Replaced a broken heater, and jet pump. This had a broken remote so we hooked it up to WiFi and can now be controlled from any smart phone (turn on the spa from the ski slopes so it’s hot and ready when you get home) along with upgrading the control board to handle color lights and Variable Speed or Variable Flow pumps. #pentairpoolproducts #jandypoolproducts #happyswimming

Fall is here. With temps dropping there are a few things to keep in mind. - salt systems don’t work well in cool weather. Once the water drops below 60 degrees most salt systems don’t produce chlorine and have a hard time measuring water salinity levels. For the fall and winter months we’ll treat all salt pools as a chlorine pool and convert back to salt in the spring. - no more chlorine tabs. In the fall and winter chlorine tabs aren’t necessary in keeping your water balan...ced. Liquid chlorine is easier on skin and pool surfaces. And during winter liquid chlorine is doing the job just fine by itself. - shut down solar. We can winterize your solar just let us know. Thanks for the work and #happyswimming.

Need a light replaced? Often times it’s just a bulb and new gasket. Sometimes the whole light needs to be replaced. Either way we can do the job!!!

With longer nights, cooler shorter days, solar systems probably aren’t heating the way you’d like. Fall is here and solar systems may not be heating as well as you’d like. With longer cooler nights, and shorter days, solar systems just can’t heat the pool the way they did in spring. And unfortunately it’s probably time to start thinking about turning solar systems off for the year. We recommend to have them shut down before the middle of November to avoid any chance of freezing. Thank you for all the hard work to the firefighters risking their life to keep us safe. Our heart felt prayers go out to those suffering losses from these fires. Does your pool look like this? We're doing all we can to clean up the pools, but with the ash continuing to fall it's nearly impossible to keep pools clean. The smoke is also making it very hard to breathe outside (even with N95 masks). As the smoke subsides we will have our work cut out cleaning filters and ensuring sweeps are working and ready for fall. Please be patient with us as we catch up from the mess.

Happy Labor Day! We will be by today to service pools. Service will be limited to chemical checks so we can be out of your backyard before the BBQs and swim parties start. Happy Monday swimmers! We're headed to a hot Labor Day this weekend. We'll be doing everything we can to make sure the pools are ready for any backyard BBQs or parties. We're cleaning filters a bunch to make sure the ash isn't a problem. We are seeing a bigger problem this year with phosphate issues and will make sure we alert you should we see it in your pool. Fires and smoke! With the air quality we're doing our best to make sure the pools kept clean, but we are doing a lighter service to keep ourselves healthy too. If you see something needing attention please let us know. The smoke and ash is affecting the pools, clogging filters, and changing the chemical balance in pools. We'll have our work cut out for us once the fires are done. And once the air is safer, we'll be back at it providing the service you regularly see us perform. Salt Cell Flaking? When the weather heats up you may see white flakes in the pool. Almost like it's snowing in your pool - in July and August??!! Salt cells while they create a very enjoyable swimming environment do require some maintenance. On the Pentair brand of salt cell, we have increased the cleaning cycles to every 2 hours. We have also increased the run times on the pool schedule to 10.5 hours a day. This will ensure 5 cleaning cycles and allow the salt cell to work more efficiently.
