Relic 02 by Sac State art student, Ember. Ember’s artist reflection states: These works spurred on from an increased awareness of our impact, as a species on our surroundings and our planet. The treatment of common materials as precious, highlights the future of a society that continues to recklessly use the environment as disposable. The human ego will eventually outlive sustainability of life on Earth. These artifacts come from a distant future, where common materials ar...e no longer common, but instead relics of an Earth long gone. Relic 02 is shattered glass, styrofoam, wood, metal, and adhesives, and is 18 x 18 x 6 inches. See the rest of the work from the Isolated Intentions group show on our site. #sacstate #sacstateart #csus #sacramento #art #isolatedintentions
