Yo... to be real life is freaking awesome and wildly stressful all at the same time. Like I’m getting ready to hit the road a week from today and I couldn’t be ...more excited to go to places I’ve never been, share my art with folks who have never seen me live, and do what I love!!! BUT MAN AM I STRESSED IUT YALL!!! Like the feeling of knowing that me selling out these shows isn’t just about me, but that it sets a precedent for spoken word in these larger venues. I feel that a lot, in particular today, I’ve been feeling it weigh on me. Now how does this connect to the picture, to be honest the only connection is the anxiety I felt standing there, is not the same but eerily similar to the anxiety I feel right now. But this will pass, we are in the middle of a pandemic and I know that so much of this is out of my control. But to all those who plan on coming to my events around the country or who are considering it, just know I’m throwing my heart on stage every night! You will get the best of me up there. Thanks.
