Hi. This is from Guelta, a former student leader of International Life. I thought maybe you might want to read about her sister and some of you might want to help her family. Thank you, in advance, for taking a moment to read this. Alan

Special Speaker:... Alfred Koala was born to a witch doctor family in Burkina Faso, a small country in West Africa. He came to the USA as an international student and is the founder and president of Feeding Nations Through Education (FNTE), a non-profit organization with a vision of helping people help themselves. There will be music, student story, short message by our special speaker and a time of discussion about your ideas and the Bible and games. We hope you can come! Invite your friends -even friends that are not in the Sacramento area are welcome! More information about our guest speaker: Alfred Koala was born in Burkina Faso, a small country in West Africa. At age 15, he became a Christian and was rejected by his family. That’s when he realized the hopelessness and despair of million other families and children. Despite the challenges, he struggled to make it through high school at age 24. With faith, courage, determination, and hard work, he made it to the United States in 2007 to pursuit his education as an international student. He quickly learned English as his third language, graduated with a B.S in Accounting Information Systems from California State University, Chico, and an Executive MBA from California State University, Sacramento. While a student, Alfred dreamed of helping his home nation get out of extreme poverty and founded Feeding Nations Through Education (FNTE), a non-profit organization with a vision of helping people help themselves. FNTE now impacts countless of people across Burkina Faso. Besides his heartfelt leadership at FNTE, Alfred also works as a software engineer for VSP Global in Sacramento, where he resides with his wife Ashley and their two children, Tegawende and Barkwende. Although English is his third language, Alfred is an amazing speaker who brings inspiration to his audience. He speaks to thousands of people every year in small groups, fundraising events, and churches in California and in Burkina Faso. He has earned several awards and honors including the CSU Chico President’s Advisory Board Award, the City of Chico Mayor’s Award, and VSP Global’s People First Award.
