Meet the Cast: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING SUZANNE HALKA: Friar Frances and Sexton Frances Seacoal Suzanne Halka is a San Francisco based director, costume designer, and teaching artist and a resident director of the Harvey Milk Center for the Arts Junior Acting Troupe. Her favorite theatre role was as The Nurse in Romeo and Juliet: CSI, and her favorite dance role was as the Autumn Fairy in Cinderella. Suzanne has most recently performed with the Oakland-based sketch comedy group..., Running With Glitter, and with her all-women improv troupe, the HAMAZONS! Suzanne feels privileged to have interned with The American Shakespeare Center and to have studied theatre while abroad in London. Meet the Cast: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING ZOE NAUMAN: Balthasar and Jane Tart Zoe Nauman is a senior at Natomas Charter High School's Performing and Fine Arts Academy. At PFAA, she performed as Evil Tina in SHE KILLS MONSTERS and is currently in their online production of ANON(YNOUS). Earlier this year, Zoe received an award for her monologue performance from the Lenaea Theatre Festival. Meet the Cast: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING MIKE POE: Antonio Mike Poe has performed at regional theaters around the country, in summer stock, and TV commercials. Some of his favorite theater roles include Noah in Two by Two, Marco in A View from the Bridge, Snoopy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Reverand Shannon in Night of the Iguana, and Harry Roat in Wait Until Dark. He worked stage management for the American Conservatory T...heater and at the Marine’s Memorial Theater for The Boys in Autumn with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. Mike retired after 28 years as a TV producer-director for the University of California. Meet the Cast: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING KATHLEEN POE: Don Pedro Kathleen is thrilled to join City Theatre for their first Zoom production, which happens to be her favorite Shakespeare comedy. She has appeared in the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival and City Theater in various roles. She is also a founding member of Wildflower Women's Ensemble, an all-female Shakespeare company. Favorite Shakespearean roles include Jaques in As You Like It, The Duke in Measure for Measure, and... Macduff in Macbeth. Other favorite roles include Judy Boone in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Eulalie Mckechnie Shinn in The Music Man, and Colleen/Edna Krabapple in the pre-pandemic production of Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play. Meet the Cast: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING KIM McCANN-LAWSON: Dogberry or Vergie Macron (Role varies by performace) Kim is an adjunct professor in Theatre at Sacramento City College (Official). She taught in the department for 27 years until her retirement. She returned to the department in the fall of 2019. Kim holds an AA in Drama and Humanities, a BA in Theatre with a minor in English Literature and an MFA in Dramatic Art (acting emphasis). She held a teaching credential in S...pecial Education but let that lapse when she retired. She spent 33 years working with adults with developmental disabilities. A director as well as an actress, Kim spent 22 years directing for the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival as well as directing numerous productions for City Theatre and other resident theatres in the area. She has worked as a dialect coach for City Theatre and Sierra College. Kim has played a variety of roles in her long acting career but her particular love is for the works of Shakespeare. He has worked in Theatre as well as displayed his art in Indiana, Memphis, TN, San Francisco, CA. Sacramento, CA Whitfield, NH, and Lincolnshire, England. Theatres he... has worked include Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana Repertory Theatre, The Weathervane Summer-stock Theatre, No Exit Theatre of San Francisco No Exit Productions in Indianapolis. He has joined the board of Errant Phoenix. He was last seen in "A Midsummer Nights Dream" with the Marin Shakespeare Company. He has also worked with Bay Area Children's Theatre in the Beautiful Oops! He teaches theatre with Christian Youth Theatre in both Sacramento and before his relocation he taught with the Indianapolis chapter.
