This meeting is unique as it is our regularly scheduled October face-to-face meeting, however, happening virtually due to Covid-19. You will note that the meeting schedule (below) is extensive, however, you are welcome to attend in whole or in part. Each day has a separate registration link, please visit rid.org/boardmeeting for the day’s exact registration link and to... see the 4-day agenda. Thurs October 22nd, 2:30-6 pm ET / 11:30 am - 3 pm PT Friday October 23rd, 9 am -12:30 pm ET & 2:30-6 pm ET / 6 am -9:30 am PT & 11:30 am - 3 pm PT Saturday October 24th, 11 am - 2:30 pm ET & 4:30 - 8 pm ET / 8 - 11:30 am PT & 1:30 - 5 pm PT Sunday October 25th, 9 am -12:30 pm ET / 6 am - 9:30 am PT The board makes space for member and community engagement during these meetings. Rian Gayle is the Assistant Director of Access & Inclusion at the Office of Disability Services at Western Oregon University. He is a former advisor for the University's Black Students Union and Disability Union. Rian served on the board of the Oregon Association of Higher Education and Disability (ORAHEAD) and is currently on the Advisory board of the Telecommunication Device Access Program (TDAP) under PUC. Rian is also a commissioner on the Oregon Disabilities Commission under Oregon's DHS. Rian is also a trained Deaf Interpreter and through his various roles, look for and place interpreters for different gigs. Rian graduated from Gallaudet University in 2010 with a Master's Degree in International Development for Persons with Disabilities. Born and raised in Jamaica. Rian was a Disability Advocate and Researcher in Jamaica from 2010 -2014 with the Jamaica Association for the Deaf. Register now!
