SRDC BIRDERS: In light of the U.S. Forest Service closing the Red Bluff Recreation Area {see the article in the Red Bluff Daily News for Saturday, March 28, page A5] and after consulting with Dr. Dahnke, it seems that the wisest course of action is to cancel the April SRDC Bird Walk. We have no idea how long the closure will last - we have heard the end of April and "indefinite" - but I will keep you informed as to if and when we can have the next Bird Walk. In the mean time "keep safe and healthy!"

SRDC BIRDERS: The December SRDC Bird Walk will take place this Saturday, December 7th, at the Red Bluff Recreation Area. We will meet at the Center parking lot at 8:00 am as usual. This is the season of the Christmas Bird Counts and there is actually quite a lot of avian activity around the Center. This could make for an active viewing event. So, Grab your Binoculars and Bird Books and Join Dr. Dahnke for the last SRDC Bird Walk of 2019. The Weather Prognosticators, who have been pretty accurate of late, are predicting temps in the high 40's to low 50's in the morning and possible rain, so dress accordingly.
