Essentially the Board will remain in place as follows: - President: Mariel Dennis - VP: Theresa Roberts - Secretary: Gerhard Bock - Treasurer: Greg Lang... - Past President: Steve Goodman - Directors: Keith Taylor, Penny Newell; and Carole Hada (replacing Kris McAninch) All other committees remain intact except we need new folks to volunteer for newsletter editor, sunshine chair, affiliate to CSSA. ONE WEEK TO GO: On Monday, October 26, 7:00 pm Pacific Time, we'll have a very special presentation on succulent bromeliads by Andy Siekkinen, the country's foremost expert of the genus Hechtia. He will show plants in their habitat, in cultivation, and through the lens of a laboratory to ...help us understand these plants better. Andy Siekkinen is a botanist studying the genus Hechtia (Bromeliaceae). Currently he is developing his own nursery focused on bromeliads and continuing his research independently. This Zoom meeting will open to SCSS members, to other clubs, and to the public. Hi Folks! Miss seeing everyone at our fun meetings. I’ll be checking in with the Shepard Center to see when they plan to reopen and what the protocols will be for safe distancing. Will get the Board to see if we will try to meet in June or continue holding off longer. In the meantime hope you’re enjoying your garden. Here are some photos from mine. Post some of your photos of blooming succulents!
