I had the great honor of meeting some of the people in charge at Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County during a distribution Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim. I was completely blown away by the effort and planning it takes to coordinate so much food being provided for those in need during this difficult time. They had about 150 volunteers helping to distribute over 70 lbs of food to 1,000 cars per hour. This includes staples that should help support most families for a week. I’m grateful that I’m in a position to help, but I learned that the huge spike in unemployment will likely create food insecurity for many families for several months, if not longer. Because of this, I intend to continue supporting Second Harvest through donations and volunteer work as much as possible. #GoodNeighbor #OurStateFarm
