Reece is sporting my favorite type of collar, The Pro-collar or whatever else they have been branded. When E-collars cause too much emotional trauma, I love these. Depending on the dog they can be as effective as the traditional E-collar, but definitely more comfortable regardless!

The world of epigenetics demystifies the subject of disease. As it turns out, our genes don’t code for heart disease or diabetes or any non-developmental disease. Our genetic code is wound around proteins that turn genes on and off. The proteins, and their actions on our genetic code, are the way our bodies show health or disease in relationship to the environment. These protein are hereditary so the effect can pass from generation to generation. For me that’s a WOW!
