Law Office of Matthew Rungaitis

A great trial victory for my client. She was a landlord sued for uninhabitability. We counter sued for unpaid rent and damages. The verdict: judgment for my client on her cross complaint and nothing for the tenant on her complaint. We have sent in post trial briefing on attorney fees. Hopefully this will result in a nicer award for my client, and a warning to tenants that think they can litigate landlords to death to get them out of a lease.

On my way back into court after lunch and I realized something important . . . I CANNOT PUT MY SUITCOAT ON WITH MY LEFT ARM FIRST. Am I the only one?

I was on the phone with co-counsel on a case and he denied receiving my e-mail. He then checked and found it in his junk folder. He then stated: "I don't know why you keep ending up in my junk." That was the best laugh I have had in weeks.

Just gave a speech last night on free speech rights on college/university campuses. We has a great turn out and great questions from the staff and students at College of the Canyons.
