The good news: a bill before the lame duck session of Congress would extend the Section 181 federal tax break for certain individual film and television production investments. The bad news: the extension will only run through the end of THIS year. In other words, if you've already made an eligible investment, or if you can start shooting your project this month, then you may qualify. But in what's become an annual ritual, you won't know if your 2015 expenditures qualify until a further extension to the legislation, which on past form won't come, if it comes at all, until this time next year. https://www.congress.gov//bills/s1859/BILLS-113s1859pcs.pdf
