Spending some time with my dad this weekend to celebrate his 85th birthday! My dad was a pharmacist in Korea, came to the US in his mid 30’s, worked as a janitor, a draftsman, went to seminary, and became a pastor in his 50’s. He lead 100% by example, he was the first to arrive to set up for Sunday service, and the last to leave after clean up. As a family, we are pretty much experts in setting up and tearing down tables and chairs. Who knew that was training for what we d...o now here at RSVP We never really had the money to go on vacations. I love that we can treat him to things he would never think of doing for himself. He always asks how much things cost and tells me everything’s too expensive. I just don’t show him the bill and say it wasn’t too bad I hope you take advantage of every opportunity to spend time with loved ones. 2021 came and went in a hot flash! It started out terrible for us with the passing of my father-in-law, and we definitely felt his absence during the holidays. We’re reminded that we are not promised tomorrow, so we are going to enjoy every minute we can with our loved ones and not take anything for granted. Thank you to everyone who supported us by booking, inquiring, promoting, sharing and cheering us on. We truly appreciate you!!... We booked more events this year than we could have imagined, more in the last month than we did in all of 2020. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my husband, my son & daughter, and Kayde! The Lord has blessed us, and we are so incredibly grateful. I’m not one to make New Year’s resolutions, especially after the last couple of years, I’m taking it one day at a time. I do pray for everyone to have healthy bodies and minds, and for peace and joy in their hearts. Happy 2022!!! Life has been keeping me busy lately so I haven’t kept up with posts, but I thought I’d talk about a few random things today. This is me at 52 I opened RSVP at 48 Don’t let your age keep you from going for it, whatever your it is.... The oldies station used to play 50’s music but now it plays 80’s & 90’s music, from when I was in high school & college When I think 20 years ago, I think 1980 I used to have 20/20 vision until recently, and I’m still not used to wearing my glasses My eyesight has rapidly declined in the last 2 years, now I have bifocals with blue light something or others. Nowadays, I get the most compliments on my portable fan! It’s a lifesaver!! And that’s the end of my life stage report Have a marvelous day friends!!

Sometimes a person comes into your life and just blesses the socks off of you. That is what Kayde has done for me. She is beautiful inside and out, friendly, professional, hard working, intuitive, funny, quick witted, and always willing to go the extra mile. Her energy gives me energy! If you've had the pleasure of meeting Kayde, you know exactly what I'm talking about. We've been very busy around here lately and she has been an amazing, much needed addition to RSVP!... One week from today!!!!! Our Shop Small Pop Up Market is next Saturday!!! Come shop, sample some pastries & coffee and have some photobooth fun!!!... @rsvpeventspace came to be from an idea in my head and we were only able to grow with the help of other small businesses that came before us. We set aside this day every year to give locals, who built their small businesses from the ground up, a place to showcase their products and services. It has been our goal from day one to support small businesses whenever we can. Come by, say hi we would love to meet you in person!!!

If you’ve ever admired our walnut tables, or our mobile planter boxes, and most recently, our collapsible bar - they were all made by Joel! He took the designs that were in my head and brought them to life. He makes beautiful, quality wood pieces and he stands behind his work. He’s been a staple at our pop ups with his smaller pieces. To us, more than his products, we have really appreciated his support from day 1. We go way back and we’re so proud to see how far he’s come with what started out as a hobby and side hustle, to now his full time business. If you don’t already, give him a follow!

My father-in-law is now at perfect peace in the arms of his heavenly Father. My father-in-law overcame and sacrificed so much to give his family a better life. He was true to his word and worked harder than anyone I know. He was a lifelong mechanic and was still fixing cars till about a month... ago. He insisted on paying for our birthday dinners, thought my mother-in-law was the cutest thing in the world (because she is) and he was so proud of his kids and grandkids. I would always see the pride in his face when our whole family would go anywhere together, or even when we'd just be hanging out at home. He used to say he didn't think he'd live long enough to see his kids get married or get to hold his grandchildren. He lived long enough to enjoy all of that, but we wish we could have had more time with him. Until we meet again, we will hold all the precious memories in our hearts. From @ohhellofriend to @shareanddogood to @rsvpeventspace Back in 2014, we rented this space for our son and his best friends’ high school graduation party when it was the workshop space for Oh Hello Friend. On my way to the train station to go to a Laker game in 2017, I decided to check out Share & Do Good, where all your purchases help people and make the world a better place.... That was 4 years ago, and after what felt like forever, but was actually 16 months later, we opened RSVP. So many wonderful memories were made here over the years. We miss events, we miss everyone, we hope to be back soon. Thank you for following along, we love and appreciate you more than you’ll ever know

How many of us have had to do this?? I’m amazed at all the different ways everyone has shifted and I love seeing the creativity. There’s not a single person who hasn’t been affected somehow and I applaud all of you for doing what you have to do, even when some days are harder than others. We had no idea we would be closed for 6+ months. We appreciate you sticking with us even when we weren’t posting anything, honestly I had no motivation for a while. If you can’t tell, no...w we’re trying to do a lot to get back into the swing of things. As long as we’re allowed to gather, even if it’s just a small group, we will keep thinking of ways to bring people together. We don’t take any opportunities for granted, we’re grateful for every one! Oh Happy Day! - a beautiful morning from our little family getaway last month. 6 months of being shut down, a short period with a little hope, and just feeling like we’re stuck, we received confirmation today that we can open.....at limited capacity! Hey we’ll take it! Although nothing’s been going on here, we’ve had to deal with a lot on the other side of the screen. We won’t take this for granted, we are truly grateful for the good, even the not so good, and everything... in between. We’ll keep you posted on updates and offerings, so be sure to check back right here!
