Meet Kihyun, a Kumon Math and Reading Program Completer. In fact, he just finished the math program this June! According to Kihyun, the reading program built up his confidence to tackle any book that interests him, making reading more enjoyable. The math program improved his attention to detail, and taught him to persist even when concepts are challenging. Kihyun likes to be active in his free time. He practices Tae Kwon Do, in which he has earned a 2nd degree Black Belt. He ...enjoys surfing, and plays soccer competitively. Kihyun is also independently studying Kumon's advanced math Level X to prepare for a future career as an engineer. Kihyun was one of 155 students from Canada, USA, and Mexico who attended the Virtual Kumon Student Conference in 2020. He and other students had the opportunity to be inspired by Kumon Ambassadors, who are former top Kumon Students who are now excelling in their careers or extracurricular pursuits.
