Shoutout Saturday!!!! Coach Jenny joined our crew in October 2020. She had never rowed before, but had heard about us through Coach Lisa @fitness.on.fire She joined us for a few classes and decided she wanted to be a part of our crew. From the day she made that decision she has continuously worked to be the best rowing coach she could be. As you know, rowing is not easy, rowing is both a mental and physical sport. You constantly have to think about your body, the movement, ...the ratio, and your intensity. There’s a lot involved! Coach Jenny has never let that deter her, in fact, she has continued to have that drive her. Probably not. But is it an important photo? Yes. Why? First because it shows that we all need to work hard and consistently to improve. For me as a coach that not only means book learning but actually doing and practicing too. I have struggles with form the same way any one learning something new does (little known fact- I’ve only been rowing about 3 months). I have my strengths which I also practice to keep them solid and improving but my consistency in training to improve my areas of opportunities is what gets growth, mental and physical.
