Superheroes Waiting for be Connected to their Match... Become a Living Kidney Donor and Save a Life If you have two healthy kidneys, you may be able to donate one of your kidneys to enhance or save someone else's life. Both you and the recipient of your kidney (the person who got your kidney) can live with just one healthy kidney.... Simi Valley and Rotarians have been involved in saving the lives of two individuals who desperately needed kidneys. Now there is one more person in need Ginny Donnelly - and we believe three is the charm! Family members are often the most likely to be compatible living kidney donors. However, Ginny was born in San Francisco and adopted shortly after that. Since she was adopted, her only chances of receiving a kidney are from a cadaver or by a living donor. She married Bob Donnelly and they have two children, Bobby and Alyson. Alyson is married with two beautiful boys. Ginny and Bob have been living in Simi Valley since 2015. She has been registered with the Cedars-Sinai Transplant Center since 2017, when she was diagnosed with end-state Renal Failure. She has been on dialysis since then. In the Los Angeles area, it takes 10 to 11 years for a type O person to get a cadaver kidney. A living kidney donor is a much better option, promising a better result than a cadaver kidney. It allows for better planning and better results. It is also much more rewarding. For more information about becoming a potential candidate(superhero) please call: (805)517-1717 You can make a difference by joining the ranks of over 50,000 living donors who have donated their kidneys to people facing kidney failure.
