Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation partnered with WHO and Rotary to eradicate polio. In 2015 Bill Gates predicted a viral pandemic of epic proportions and in January 2020 his foundation had already commited $100 million toward COVID-19 coronavirus prevention and research. Learn the history of small pox, bird flu, polio, and the unknown SARS flu viruses to come. Maybe Rotary can help not only by making vaccine available to the world when one is available for COVID-19 but make the world aware of a new virus early because early detection requires early response.
