Plus those kids should be thanking their moms cause we are low key busting our butts to make sure Instacart brings those cocoa Krispies. The corn maze. We do this every year. And it felt so gloriously normal... last night. Something we’ve done every year since she was born, something that on previous years I might have taken for granted. But this year I wasn’t sure if this would be another memory stolen from us. And this year she didn’t get every turn in the maze right, we fumbled a little and it took us a while and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This tiny dancer and her team worked her tushie off at a lemonade stand last weekend to raise money for the Carsyn Neille Foundation and I couldn’t be prouder. . When I tallied the amount the Danceology team collected and told her how much they’d raised she got really excited and said now kids won’t have to be sick anymore! and I just didn’t have the heart to tell her otherwise. This movie has fast become a household favorite and Madeline got SO into this shoot. She had her own poses and ideas (I’ll do a more normal edit on another one soon to share) and we laughed the entire time throwing cards in the air, stacking books and then having them topple, over and over and over. When the last straw at our house broke this weekend we basically all just started laughing. But not a cute laugh, like that maniacal laugh that the hyenas in the Lion King do. . And then I said let’s go to the beach. And Madeline said the rock beach, the one we couldn’t touch when we went there for quarantine. Which both broke my heart and made me really happy. It was like a do over. Because the last time we’d been there we were on strict stay at home orders and we just needed air so we spent 10 minutes there but didn’t touch the sand or the surf. This time we spent hours there. Until the moon came out. And we left renewed. #rosymadephotography
