Today we are going over the 2nd of the McGill big 3 exercises and that is the side bridge. The side bridge is a great exercise as it really helps to improve your core stability by strengthening your Quadratus Lumborum muscles along with your Lat muscles. The quadratus lumborum muscles are often not as strong as they should be and may be a weak part of your core. This can make difficult to get rid of your lower back pain, sciatica pain, or hip pain. When doing this exercise m...ake sure that you are keeping your lower back straight and engaging your core muscles. Start out by holding the side bridge for 10 seconds and then rest. It’s a good to start out with 4 reps of 10 seconds before switching to the other side.
