"On your ballot will be a number of propositions (12 to be exact). The Roseville Area Chamber Board weighed all 12 propositions and has decided to take a position on the following three that have a direct impact on our businesses: Proposition 15 - OPPOSE: Prop 15 is a $12.5 billion a year property tax increase - the largest in state history - that is riddled with flaws which will hurt all Californians, small and large businesses alike. This is also known as the Split Roll Tax.... Proposition 20 - SUPPORT: the Keep California Safe Initiative, restricts parole for non-violent offenders and authorizes felony sentences for certain offenses currently treated only as misdemeanors. Proposition 22 - SUPPORT: to ensure that thousands of workers continue to have access to this important work that provides a flexible option to earn income. To learn more about the other propositions and how they may impact your business, I would encourage you to check out either the September Economic Development & Government Affairs Meeting video (below) or California Chamber of Commerce's overview of the November Ballot Measures. Sincerely, Wendy Gerig, Roseville Area Chamber CEO" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBtKEenQr7g
