Despite the surge in #COVID19 cases in Uganda, our fellows are facing difficulties in reaching our beneficiaries but continue to teach mothers how to fortify po...rridge in an effort to reduce the growing prevalence of malnutrition. Thank you so much Muhame Micheal Reagan Niwamanya Sadam PJ for your hard work.
Rose Academies-Uganda is in the news thanks to Dr Selina Marie Stasi. We are grateful to have a wonderful working relationship with Texas A&M SPH Health & Well...ness that is helping us develop our educational programs. It's truly heartwarming to see that our efforts are changing lives not just in Africa, but in the good ole' USA!!

Every 16 minutes a Ugandan baby dies before reaching 28 days of life. #RoseUgandaFellows and #ugandasotherside are working together to create awareness to the problem and to educate mothers how to feed and care for their infants so that Ugandan babies will live and thrive. #SavingLives #EmpoweringWithKnowledge #TogetherWeCan
Just one of the many reasons our #RoseUgandaFellows are actively teaching young mothers how to feed and care for their infants. Malnutrition of babies is unfort...unately more often than not. Thanks to our Nutritionist, Luboobi Haidar, we have a solid nutrition program included with #OmwanaThrive neonatal health lessons that we are giving at Kanungu, Wakiso, and Buikwe districts. Hundreds of young mothers are learning about the importance of diet and nutrition to keep their children healthy. See more
"I didn't know how to nurse my baby and was worried how I could care for him. Thank you to #RoseUgandaFellows for teaching me how to breastfeed so I can now take good care of my baby."
If you are wondering what our #roseugandafellows do during their internship, wonder no more. These fellows are literally saving lives everyday! As young girls ...become mothers, they have never learned about motherhood. So many of these girls do not know how to breastfeed their baby or how to care for them. I'm extremely grateful for our team's dedication and commitment to share the gift of knowledge so that babies will live. See more
Our Rose Uganda Fellows are hard at work teaching young mothers how to care for their babies so they will live and grow.
Kanungu welcomes our #roseugandafellows as they bring #NeonatalHealth to pregnant young women and mothers so that mortality rates can be reduced, malnutrition is addressed and babies will live beyond 28 days of life. #Savinglives #EmpoweringWithKnowledge
Wakiso villagers welcome #roseugandafellows despite heavy rains. Thank you team for your hard work in bringing healthcare education into the community.
And not to forget Buikwe... Our #roseugandafellows traveled several hours to reach the clinic where we taught pregnant women and mothers about #NeonatalHealth using our application program #OmwanaThrive A huge thank you Rose team for all that you are doing to save lives!

COVID 19 came and appears to be a problem that is not going away any time soon. How do we keep our children engaged and continue learning when schools are clo...sed? What happens to children that live in impoverished communities that do not have access to technology? Join us as we discuss these issues on October 7th, 9:00AM Pacific Time, 7:00PM Eastern Africa Time You will hear from our panelists that come from a diversity of backgrounds and experience as they share some of their unique approaches to teaching, successes and lessons learned. BREAKING NEWS!! Kanungu's District Health Officer Signs MOU with Rose Academies to have our #roseugandafellows deliver #OmwanaThrive #NeonatalHealth program to ...pregnant women and new mothers to reduce the high number of neonatal deaths. It is a great honor to work with the Health Clinics in the region and look forward to addressing this disturbing number of deaths of young mothers and their infants primarily due to a lack of healthcare knowledge.
