This Friday, September 11 Joaquin Jimenez will be at Evangeline Cuisine in Shoreline Station from 4-6pm to meet the community and speak about his platform. This is a casual, safe way to meet Joaquin in person and to ask him any questions you might have about his campaign for City Council. We wanted to give everyone a head's up prior to a special San Mateo County Sheriff's enforcement effort tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 25. Deputies will be flooding... the Half Moon Bay area in an effort to enforce pedestrian safety laws. They say they will be particularly interested in Main Street and Highway 92, and will be looking for crosswalk violations, jaywalking, failure to yield and that sort of thing. We hope you will tell your workmates and neighbors. A similar recent increase in police presence frightened some on the coast who are on high alert for ICE and federal enforcement.
