May is National Preservation Month! The National Trust for Historic Preservation has been leading the campaign to bring more awareness to historic places that r...eally must be saved! Can we please get some likes, shares, love and applause for our own hardworking folks right here in Sutter Creek who are dedicated to preserving Sutter Creek's historic venues! Raising funds, managing volunteers, restoring floors and windows, raising more funds...their relentless efforts are immeasurable! The Knight Foundry Alliance are making remarkable progress with Foundry tours and restoration! Please like their facebook page, visit during a monthly tour and head over to their Summer BBQ on June 9th for a delicious Tri-Tip feast! Sutter Creek Community Benefit Foundation in 5 short years they've raised funds to design and build Miners' Bend Park and have restored the Historic Grammar School. City of Sutter Creek, California is working with Caltrans and local construction company to replace the bridge on Main Street. Traffic is a bit sluggish some days, but the new bridge will allow us all the better enjoy the creek and linger at the south end of town!
