SHE IS COMPLETE If you’ve been following my stories - you’re probably just as glad as I am that this playset assembly/makeover is officially finished! This is the @backyarddiscovery Skyfort Elite, exclusive to @samsclub! Backyard Discovery’s customer service and quick responses for missing/damaged parts and hardware during assembly was SO quick and easy. A great company, and a solid product! ... After a nightmare fiasco with Sam’s cousin Walmart and a different playset that never completely arrived I’m actually glad that happened because this one is probably going to last us much longer! And Gage is thrilled - it’s been 100+ all week and I can barely keep that kid inside! He’s been waiting for months at this point (I ordered the first one that never totally came in early March ) Now for the makeover (of a new playset lol) I primed with @valsparpaint stainblocking/bonding primer - My favorite primer for interior AND exterior! I used @behrpaint Marquee Exterior Satin Enamel paint in Ultra Pure White (literally the white you can grab right off the shelf) and the Black is Valspar Duramax Satin Tricorn Black! Because I didn’t want to paint black on white or vice versa, I painted as we assembled! Coupled with extreme heat 1 week, meaning I couldn’t really paint anything, this left us with lots of starts and stops, so all in all it took about 3 1/2 weeks to complete! It was a LOT of hard work. Sometimes frustrating. But I’m really happy that we pushed through and did it, and very happy with how it turned out! Once the weather cools I’m planning to put a stencil on the floor to cut down on dirt marks from dirty feet, but that’s neither here nor there and really just for mom’s eyes Let me know if you have any questions about the process and if you’ve ever thought about making over your playset!!

These types of pictures used to be a LOT more frequent around here! Last year I went from manis every 3 weeks to literally getting one the entire year. I mean, we all know the main reason why But I was also doing a lot more hard labor renoing our house and yard and I’m sure my nails would have always been a mess anyway But I finally found a new nail tech after my dear Jennah moved south and I’m ready to get back to having nice nails again! @reginadoesnails did this cute remix of one of my favorite summer manis I’ve had in the past recently!
