To our patients, In light of the evolving pandemic and strong suggestions by public health officials, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our practice starting Wednesday, March 17th. We do not make this decision lightly, however our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients, families, staff and community. If you have an appointment scheduled with us in the coming weeks, our office will be in touch to help reschedule your appointment. ... In the case of emergency situations, we WILL have an optometrist on call. If you need urgent care, please call our office as you normally would and follow the instructions to reach our doctors. We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves with the guidance from the county, state and the CDC. To our patients, Although our office is vigilant about following all CDC & AOA guidelines, sanitizing all surfaces, eyewear, disinfecting all exam equipment, and common areas (reception, bathroom, door handles, etc.) we nonetheless wish to avoid risking the health of our most vulnerable patients with unnecessary exposure to others who may be contagious but asymptomatic. In an effort to further protect our patients and staff, we ask that you follow these precautions:... If you are sick, please stay home. If you have had contact with someone who is ill or if you are caring for someone at risk, please defer your appointment. We are happy to reschedule. If you have an ocular emergency or any urgent issue, please call us to schedule a telephone or digital consult. If the doctors determine they cannot resolve an urgent concern without being seen in person, we will arrange an appointment before or after regular office hours so no other patients are in the office at the same time. If you are in the office for an appointment, please come with only the essential companions. Until further notice, the office remains open for all your needs, including emergencies.
