What I hate about election seasons is that they tend to simplify public policy issues as black or white. The charter school issue is creating that polarizing de...bate. My school board voting record on charters is 2 to 2, for-and-against. To all San Mateo County voters: I promise you that I will continue to be impartial and evaluate each charter on a case-by-case basis, interviewing stakeholders, and taking into account all the factors that I am permitted to under the education code.
